RM 012 and RM 12-01 Are Different References

The historical RM 012 was introduced in 2006 as a 30-piece limited edition. Richard Mille identifies it as a manual-winding tourbillon displaying hours and minutes, built around a distinctive tubular Phynox structure. Several products in this category instead use RM 12-01 wording and conventional openworked bridge layouts. Identify the intended reference from the case, dial, movement and tourbillon architecture before choosing the product name.

Do Not Copy Original Specifications to the Replica

Official history can explain the design reference, but it does not prove the replica’s calibre, tubular structure, tourbillon, material, resistance, finishing or limited-edition status. Describe only the supplied watch and distinguish verified specifications from design inspiration.

Verify That the Tourbillon Is Real

A visible balance wheel is not automatically a tourbillon. In a tourbillon, the balance and escapement rotate together inside a carriage. Request a continuous macro video showing the carriage from several angles for at least one complete rotation. If only the balance oscillates in a fixed position, describe the product as an openworked or skeleton-style watch and remove tourbillon from the title, Meta Description, ALT text and Product schema.

Resolve Automatic and Manual-Wind Contradictions

The product pages repeatedly describe a Swiss automatic movement before switching to a floating tourbillon manual-winding movement in the supplier text. Test the crown and inspect the caseback. State whether a functioning rotor is present, whether the movement winds automatically, the crown positions, winding direction, setting procedure, beat rate, measured accuracy and tested power reserve. Do not use the original calibre name for a decorated replica movement.

Verify Transparent Case Materials

The first three watches have clear or blue transparent-looking cases, but appearance alone cannot establish sapphire composition. Confirm the bezel, caseband and caseback separately with supplier documentation or appropriate material testing. State any coating, tint, inclusions, cloudiness, machining marks or scratches, and use transparent-case or blue transparent-case wording when the material is unverified.

Verify Carbon and Gold-Tone Claims

The five darker models show a layered black case appearance with gold-tone internal accents. This does not prove forged carbon, Carbon TPT, Gold Carbon TPT, gold foil or any brand-exclusive composite. Record the actual case, bezel, caseback, crown, screws and decorative metal materials. Use carbon-pattern composite and gold-tone accents until composition evidence is available.

Correct the Product Titles and Gallery ALT Text

The third transparent product repeats the first product’s Crystal Clear Strap title even though the product grid shows a blue strap. Several carbon-style galleries describe black, white or red cases and different strap colors from the product shown. Compare every main image, gallery image, SKU and physical unit, then synchronize the product title, H1, short description, specifications, ALT text, selected variation and Product schema.

Distinguish Textile and Rubber Straps

The orange, yellow and black textile straps have visibly different surfaces from the yellow and black rubber straps. Record the actual material, construction, width, total length, hole spacing, clasp type and suitable wrist range. Do not describe a strap as waterproof, imported or high-grade without relevant evidence.

Inspect the Skeleton Layout and Finishing

Use macro photographs to check bridge alignment, polished and brushed surfaces, screws, hands, indices, printing, lume, dust and clearance between moving parts. Confirm which visible components move and which are decorative. Check that the hands do not contact one another or the crystal.

Measure Dimensions and Wrist Fit

Water Resistance Requires a Unit Test

A tonneau case, visible screws and rubber strap do not prove water resistance. Any rating must come from a documented pressure test of the exact completed watch, recording the SKU or unit, date, pressure, duration, equipment and result. Without that evidence, treat the watch as not water resistant and avoid swimming, showering, steam, saunas, hot water and immersion.

2. Request current front, side, crown, caseback, movement, tourbillon-area, strap, clasp and wrist photographs for the exact SKU.

4. Confirm manual or automatic winding, rotor operation, setting procedure, beat rate, measured accuracy and tested power reserve.
5. Record measured case dimensions, weight, strap dimensions, clasp and suitable wrist range.
6. Verify the transparent or carbon-pattern case, crystal, bridges, screws, strap and clasp materials separately.
7. Request documented pressure-test evidence for the exact unit or treat water resistance as unverified.

Should Similar Products Become Variations?

The three transparent styles could become color variations only if their case construction, dimensions, movement, functions and pricing are identical. The five carbon-pattern styles could be grouped by strap color and textile-versus-rubber material only after the same checks.
